Terms of use

1.Who we are and what these terms cover

These terms apply between you and the operator of Luciai Studio named in our imprint (“we”, “us”). They cover the Luciai Studio desktop app, your account on this website, and the license keys we issue. You accept them when you create an account. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.

2.Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a contract.
• Use your own, working email address: your license keys and important notices are sent to it.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens with your account; tell us at once if you think someone else is using it.
• One account per person.

3.Your license

For as long as your license key is valid, you may install and use Luciai Studio under the plan the key belongs to. This right is personal, non-exclusive and not transferable.

The free plan costs nothing and has no time limit: a free key has no end date. It can be active on three devices at once. Keys issued while the free plan lasted one calendar month are replaced by keys without an end date; Luciai Studio picks the new key up by itself when it is online. The current numbers are on the pricing page.

The free month of a new installation: Luciai Studio can be downloaded and used without an account. On its first start it gets a free month on that computer from our licensing service — one per computer. After that month, it keeps working with a free account. Using Luciai Studio during that month means accepting these terms, as with a key.

We may change the free plan for the future — for example its device limit or the length of the free month — and will tell you before a change takes effect.

You may not:

• share your key with others, or sell, rent or sublicense it;
• get around the license check or the device limit, or alter a key;
• decompile or reverse engineer Luciai Studio, except where the law allows it.

We may suspend or revoke a key that was issued by mistake or is used against these terms. We tell you when we do, and why.

4.Buying me a coffee

Luciai Studio is free, and nothing on this website is for sale. If you buy me a coffee, you pay through Buy Me a Coffee, a service of another company, whose own terms apply to the payment itself — including refunds.

A coffee is a voluntary payment to me, the maker of Luciai Studio. It does not buy a plan, a license or any service, and it changes nothing about your account; Luciai Studio stays free either way. It is not a donation to a registered charity. I will use this money to help poor and needy children in Pakistan get an education.

5.Your code and your projects

Your code and your projects are yours. We claim no rights in them, and we never receive them: Luciai Studio sends code only to the AI model provider you choose, directly from your computer.

6.AI models and other services

Luciai Studio works with models and tools from other providers — Ollama, Claude Code, Codex and cloud AI providers, GitHub, GitLab, Docker, cloud hosting and extension marketplaces. Their terms apply to your use of them, and any costs they charge, such as API usage or cloud hosting, are between you and them. Luciai Studio shows container and cloud deploy commands before it runs them, behind a cost confirmation.

AI output can be wrong. Review what Lucicoder proposes before you apply it. You decide what it may do: approval modes, the command denylist and checkpoints help, but you remain responsible for the changes you approve and for what you let it do on its own. Keep your work under version control and keep backups.

7.Usage statistics

Luciai Studio sends anonymous usage statistics unless you switch them off in its Settings. They never contain code, file names, paths, email addresses or tokens. The privacy policy describes them in full.

8.Feedback, reviews and feature requests

If you send us feedback or suggest a feature, we may use your idea to improve Luciai Studio, without any obligation to you. Reviews you submit may be published on our website with your first name, after we check them; ask us and we remove yours. Feature requests are shown publicly, without your name.

9.Availability and changes to the software

We work to keep Luciai Studio and this website working and available, but we cannot promise that they are free of errors or always available. We may update, change or remove features. Features we describe as planned are plans, not promises.

10.Liability

We are liable without limitation for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and wherever mandatory law provides for liability. In all other cases, our liability is limited as far as the applicable law allows. Luciai Studio and Lucicoder can change and delete files and run commands on your computer; version control and backups are your protection against loss of data.

11.Ending the contract

You can stop using Luciai Studio at any time, and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account after serious or repeated breaches of these terms — with a warning first, where that is reasonable. When an account is closed, its keys are no longer renewed.

12.Changes to these terms

We may change these terms for the future — for example when we add paid plans or features, or when the law changes. We tell you by email at least 30 days before a change that affects you takes effect. If you do not agree, you can stop using Luciai Studio and have your account deleted before then.

13.Applicable law

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the operator named in our imprint is established. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
